Walk into the IEP meeting knowing what to ask.
Special-education answers that cite IDEA and Section 504, a close read of the school's documents, your letters, and a plan for every IEP or 504 meeting. One case workspace for the whole school year.
Under IDEA, the first evaluation must be finished within 60 days of the school receiving your signed consent, unless your state sets its own timeframe. Ask for the date they received your consent, in writing.

The school has a clock. Now you do too.
Under IDEA the school has 60 days from your signed consent to finish the first evaluation, unless your state sets its own timeframe. MyChatIEP puts every date on your case timeline and emails you 15 days before, 3 days before and on the day.
Also on your timeline: eligibility meetings, prior written notices, annual IEP reviews and three-year re-evaluations, or any date you add.

Built with an advocate who has sat in these meetings for 15 years.
She taught special education before she advocated in it. What is in here is what she has watched work, not what an AI guessed might.

Is this legal advice?
No. MyChatIEP gives you legal information (what the statutes say, what timelines apply, how to phrase a request), not legal advice. Think of it as a really good reference book, not an attorney on retainer. For formal disputes like mediation, due process, or a state complaint, we flag the escalation point so you can consult a qualified advocate or attorney outside the app.
Who's behind this?
MyChatIEP is built in partnership with Krista Barth, M.Ed. She taught special ed before she advocated in it. Fifteen years in the field, 5,000+ IEP and 504 plans rewritten. The engineering team is in Miami.
Is my data private?
Your case is encrypted at rest and in transit. AI providers read your messages to generate responses. We don't use your data to train models, and we don't sell it. You can export or delete your whole case anytime. Full detail lives on our Privacy page.
What jurisdictions do you cover?
Federal IDEA and Section 504 answers work nationally. State-specific coverage today: Florida. Additional states only ship after the source corpus, prompt contract, review path, and release gate are ready — no rushing it.
How much can I use on the Family plan?
300 questions and 20 letters a month, with 15 documents read by Sofía and 5 meeting preps. One child's case rarely comes close. If you're an advocate working with several families, the Advocate plan is the fit.
How is this different from hiring an advocate?
An advocate sits next to you in the meeting, knows the district's patterns, and can push back in real time. That runs $150 to $250 an hour and is irreplaceable for high-stakes cases. MyChatIEP handles the part that's research, drafting, and knowing what to ask for. So if you do hire an advocate, you're not paying them to Google things for you.
Can I cancel?
One click in settings. No email chain, no retention call. Your letters and timeline are yours: download them anytime from your case Library, so you always keep a copy.
